Photo Friday – Best of 2004

Well, this is my favourite photo of all I took in 2004.

It was taken at the excellent Weather Project at the Tate Modern in London.

I was very lucky, there were actually quite a lot of people wandering around, but I saw this lone figure in contemplation and quickly took the photo. Two seconds later a group of people wandered into view and the moment was lost.

Photo Friday – Journey

This is my Photo Friday submission for the theme Journey.

This is the return journey of a Yellow Eyed Penguin after it has been out to sea.

I took this photo in New Zealand last November.

At that time the penguins were raising their young and both parents take it in turns to go out to sea and feed.

This is a journey this penguin will make several times a day at this time of year.

Photo Friday – Perspective

Photo Friday entry, Perspective this time.

This one throws a lot of people so I thought it might be a good one to submit.

I took it on a beach in New Zealand, there was a corner of the beach that had pure black sand.

I concentrated on this detail and the yellow leaf offsets the sand perfectly I think.
